Sun City and The Lost City is a huge complex. Sun City is visited by over two million people a year and is only 10 minutes drive from the Pilanesberg National Park, home of the world's third largest population of white rhino.The Sun City complex consists of the original Sun City hotel, the luxury Cascades, the Cabana's family hotel, the Lost City and the Palace of the Lost city in which the three hotels are housed.
There are numerous attractions at the Sun City complex, from gambling halls to huge water features. There is the man-made valley of the waves, a beach complete with waves generated by a huge wave-machine. Just about any watersport is available, from Jet Ski's to bumper-boats.Kids are also catered for at Sun City. Qualified personnel arrange activities for the kids at the Camp Kwena fort. Activities include hunting for treasure, a petting zoo, mini-golf and a well-equipped playground.For the bird lovers the South African Raptor Centre is a must. Demonstrations are held twice daily and include flights of eagles and other raptors of the area.In the botanical gardens visitors can enjoy up to five guided tours a day.
About ten years ago, more than 250 000 plants, including about 5000 trees were planted. Today the gardens look like a tropical forest, even though it's housed in a volcanic crater.In front of the Cascades hotel is the Waterworld complex. It is a huge man-made lake. On it you can participate in just about any water activity known to man. This includes Jet Ski's; self drive boats, pedalboats and para gliding. Water-ski and waterski lessons are also available.The Valley of the Waves is a man-made beach with artificial waves and well worth a visit. It has huge palm trees and real beach sand. Towels can be hired and there are waiters who serve drinks on the beach. Behind the beach are five water-slides.The biggest slide is the "Temple of Courage", a seventy-meter drop into a crystal clear pool below. On the "Sacred River Ride" you can float peacefully around the island and on the "Mamba Ride" you go through an underground cave.

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
