Ma-Ria's Farmhouse offers an authentic self catering farm stay in the Magaliesburg area. (Farmhouse sleeps maximum 13 people in 5 bedrooms) (Additional Garden Flat sleeps 4). Located near Maanhaarrand at the foot of the Magaliesburg mountains nestled on a working farm with all the domestic animals you haven't seen for years. Here you'll experience farm life and the wonderful outdoors. We also have a pool with a great view of the animals and the Magaliesburg mountain range. If you are ready for a fun filled gathering of friends and family or a relaxed weekend away Ma-Ria's Farmhouse is just for you! This house is suitable for family and friends who do not mind sharing and enjoy being close to each other, yet all the rooms are private. The kitchen is fully equipped for a self catering stay and there is more than enough space for some to watch TV in the lounge and the other guests to enjoy the entertainment area, all leading onto the courtyard which includes a braai area and large garden. We also have a self catering garden flat sleeping an additional 4 people in 2 bedrooms to help if your group are up to 17 people. The garden flat has a bathroom with bath and shower and the kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery for 6 guests, stove including oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. You just bring you own food and drinks, coffee and milk and you will have all as if you are staying in your own little home away from home. There is a common pool 50m away from the house with a great view of the mountain range, guest must bring their own swimming towels. Keen mountain biker? There is approximately 50km of gravel road surrounding our farm.

How it works for accommodation-seekers:

There are no costs involved to register as a member.
On registration, we issue them with a member number.
They use their member number when they send an enquiry.
The number is verified automatically BEFORE the enquiry is sent.
The property is notified on the enquiry that they are a verified member.
Property ensures that the quote includes a 15% saving.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
  2. Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
  3. If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
    Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving.
  4. The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
  5. The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
  6. The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
  7. The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
